Custom Ceremonies That Honor Your Loved One's Life

One of the final gifts you can give your loved one is a custom ceremony that celebrates their life with honor and meaning. Compassionately, I gather stories and special memories about your loved one. Then, with heartfelt passion, I design a ceremony using selected readings, music, rituals, symbolism, and engaging storytelling that celebrate your loved one's life and legacy.

Trained as a ceremonial specialist, I am here to create a personalized experience that reflects your loved one's beliefs and values and to ensure that the ceremony truly reflects the person you are honoring.

I will:

  • Meet with the family for two hours in person via Zoom or Facetime to listen to stories and memories of your loved one

  • Identify ways for the family to contribute to the ceremony

  • Research, write, and officiate the ceremony

  • Allow the family to revise or enhance the content

  • Work seamlessly with other funeral professionals

  • Provide you with a keepsake of the ceremony

  • Serve with compassion, respect, professionalism, dignity, and humility

  • Free travel costs if less than 30 miles from Estero

A Word About Fees

The fees for a custom funeral or celebration-of-life ceremony can vary depending on the ceremony's complexity, length, and location. Schedule a no-obligation consultation to discuss your needs and to receive a quote.

"It wouldn't have been as special without you telling my mom's story so creatively and with heart.  Everyone felt her life in the room.  We're all very thankful."

"In my grief, I wanted to leave all the planning up to Joan. But in her gentle way, she encouraged me to think about how I wanted to best honor my husband's life."

"Joan speaks with such strength and groundedness. She is confident but in a gentle and calming way."
